The flu has hit

And it targeted me. Yep...I have the flu. uughhh...

I woke up two days ago feeling a lot of pressure in my head, feeling a little achey, but just assumed it was because I was exhausted from a busy weekend. Yesterday, I woke up feeling the same way, but this time my throat was swollen. I took some aleve, and that seemed to help. Well, I woke up this morning, and my throat was so sore, and my body was achey. I knew it felt like the flu, but I was praying that it wasn't. My fever spiked up this afternoon, so I went in to the doctor where he confirmed that it is indeed the flu. This is no fun...at all. I can't be around Collen, I can't nurse because of the antibiotics, and poor Collen isn't understanding why Mommy can't hold him. :( I was in tears on the way home from the doctor because I knew it meant I couldn't be around him as much. My sister is coming to help and so is my mom. Hopefully, the antibiotics will kick this mess out quickly. Please pray that it does!

  3. Sorry to hear this Lindsay and I wish you a speedy recovery. Seems the various winter bugs are doing the rounds both sides of the Atlantic! I had the stomach flu two weeks ago and now have a monster headcold :-(

  5. Thanks everyone!

The doctor told me the flu hit around here about 2 weeks ago, and it has become an epidemic. The stomach bug swept through before that. I've already had the massive head cold and now the flu. I'm hoping not to go 3 for 3!

  8. I'll come help ya'll... :( So sorry you're sick! The same thing happened to me when my third little girl was three months old, she found out the bottle was soooo much faster, and to my heartbreak...better! It will get better, Moma and my husband, Mike, would bring me Elizabeth to nurse, only when I was in agony, but, I don't remember being on antibiotics, and if I was, that was in 1984, and they probably didn't know any better!!! Praying for a FAST recovery!!! :)
