So, if you've ever tried to have professional pictures taken of your newborn, you know it is a daunting task. You go into it with high expectations, anticipating the most beautiful pictures! Then, you realize, this little person is probably not going to cooperate as you had hoped. The crying ensues, and of course there is a lot of pee, poop, and comforting that takes place. However, you still manage to get some good memories, and a lot of laughs, out of the experience.
Collen did wonderfully for his newborn pictures. He had his moments, as all newborns will, but overall, he was very cooperative.
The photographer is a good friend of mine from high school. Her dad began a photography business years and years ago, and is THE photographer to go to around the area I grew up in. His daughter is now stepping out and following in her dad's footsteps by taking on weddings, families, and children. She is very talented, and I know she is well on her way to making a name for herself just as her dad has.
Beautiful pictures of an adorable baby! What a blessing...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! I love the squishy cheeks!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for sharing your absolutely gorgeous, oh-so-cute little boy with us! :-D
ReplyDeletei LOVE the picture of just Collen with both of your arms holding him up... it's not only an amazing picture, but the symbolism is great too. like him being the only one fully shown is representative of him being his own person, but both his parents' arms holding him up show that he isn't alone. he's got support, that he can trust to never let him down, and it's coming from both sides, so he's surrounded by love. that's how what i see in it, anyway. maybe i'm just nuts, but i love it. :-P
and on a lighter note, the picture of Collen in that green hammock-looking thing is adorable! like he's just chillin' around, hanging out...
and that one near the end (maybe it's actually the last one) of Collen awake in the basket, there are two that are similar but i like the second of the two because he kind of looks like he's smiling. i'm sure he's too young for it to be a "real" smile, but it looks like he's happy, and it's cute. :-)
thanks again for sharing... i look forward to many months and YEARS of pictures. cuz that's how long i'll be following your blog in order to be praying for all of you, and that's how long you're going to be taking pictures of Collen. ;-)

ReplyDeletethese are some of the best newborn shots I think I have ever seen! He is simply a beautiful baby boy! He looks like both of you to me! Love all of his dark hair! He doesn't look like he has lost much since birth! My favorite one is of you holding him, with your heads together and his eyes are open!
