Ayden's Name Gallery

I have read many, many blogs written by other mothers who have suffered the loss of a child. Many of them have a "name gallery" for the baby that passed away. There are many sites out there that use the names of these children as their outreach. They write the name of the baby/child, for example, on a flower or in the sand. When I first saw these sites, I didn't know if I liked the idea, but my opinion has obviously changed. When I contacted Sarah at Say it With Flowers and saw the result, I was so touched. To see Ayden's name in that way made me feel like a little bit of him was now with the person who wrote his name on that flower. And thanks to Sarah, I was able to get Ayden's name written in the sand in Australia (picture below). Finally, I have also received a picture of Ayden's name in fall foliage from Holly whose blog you can find here.

For all of you photographers out there:

If you would like to join in and take pictures of Ayden's name for his name gallery, please feel free! I would be especially interested to see how many pictures we could get of his name from the actual town of Ayden (where I work). I'm sure we could get some great ones. So, if you're out somewhere....or just sitting around....if our sweet, precious boy happens to cross your mind, will you capture it in a photo for us? You can't imagine how sweet it is to see his name.......especially to receive a photo of it unexpectedly. It definitely helps to brighten the days. You can click on the "Contact Me" button on the left, and you can send your photo of Ayden's name to that email address.

  1. I've been reading your blog for a while, but never commented before. We just moved, so I'm not sure where my camera is, but as soon as I find it I'd love to take a picture of Ayden's name...
